One year ago today, July 10, 2023, marked a day of profound loss for us. Jason, a beloved friend and inspiration to many, left us unexpectedly. For his daughter, he was a guiding light; for his mother, a cherished son; and for his sister, an irreplaceable brother. I remember that night vividly—it was the end of a 12-hour journey from Wisconsin, where Jason shared his excitement about our accomplishments. We had fulfilled a dream by establishing an ARM chapter in eastern Kentucky, a goal we had pursued together for three years.
Jason’s words echo in my mind: "This has been the best week of my life." Those words encapsulate his passion and dedication to our shared cause. He passed away doing what he loved, and I find solace in that. Memories flood back of the laughter and camaraderie we shared during that journey and in the months and days leading up to it.
In Jason's honor, we are determined to continue building on his dream. We are committed to expanding this brotherhood and supporting others on their path to recovery. Jason's memory will forever inspire us, and we will ensure that his legacy lives on. L & R Professor. SYLAC 101.
